Hello and thank you for taking your time to look at my photos.
I can’t say much about myself. I’m 25 and I was born in Romania, in the city of Piatra Neamt. My small hometown is surrounded by nature in all its forms, mountains, hills, plains, lakes, forests. Since I was a child I loved just to wonder around looking closely at what nature showed me around every corner. I was amazed by its beauty, its originality, its simpleness, but its complexity too.
Now that I’m older I discovered photography as a way to show the others the wonders I see when close to nature. Time is shorter than ever and I try to take every chance I possibly can to go out on a hiking and maybe, if I’m lucky enough, to catch that time of day when light becomes magical.
Some of the photographers whose work I really appreciate are Marc Adamus, Guy Tal, Tomas Kaspar, Michael Anderson, David Clapp, Tristan Campbell, Tony Kuyper, Kah Kit Yoong, Adam Burton, Giovanni Allievi, Chip Phillips, Rafael Rojas, Vincent Favre, Paolo De Faveri and most of the guys who post on Nature Photographers Online Magazine. They are dedicated to photography in a way that few are and they strive and succeed in getting the most of nature and photography. I wish someday I could reach that level of dedication.
My photos are usually made in places I know pretty well, but I wish the future brings along more travelling and photography.
The digital age helped me a lot when learning about photography and editing photos. Now I can render images of the places I’ve been that look almost exactly how I want them to look. Through my images I try to convey a sense of natural and, at the same time, dreamy, as my imagination and feelings play a vital role when taking a photo.
The equipment I use is pretty simple and light: Canon 350D (still) with Tokina 12-24 and Tamron 55-200 lenses, Hoya polarizer and a Manfrotto 190XB tripod with a 484RC2 ball head.
